As a fully accredited CfBT partner, we offer a range of workshops for gifted and talented KS1 and 2 pupils. You can choose from the list below or we can provide bespoke sessions*, tailored specifically to your pupils.
'Light and Dark'
Music
Designed to broaden pupils' musical knowledge and encourage them to work creatively together, pupils will develop compositional skills, particularly focused on improvisation and arrangement and apply thinking skills in practical contexts around the theme of light and dark.
Dance
Exploring light and dark through movement focusing on imagery, shadows and contrasts. There will be opportunities for pupils to work individually, in pairs and in groups.
Drama
Using games and improvisation, pupils will explore aspects of superheroes and villains ( traditionally the dark characters in a story). They will discover how lighting and sound can be used to enhance atmosphere.
'Robocars'
Music
We look at the link between cars and music in advertising, creating new soundtracks for commercials, using ICT in innovative ways, to enhance and enrich the creative process.
Dance
Using images from advertising and animation as stimuli, pupils will investigate and develop the concept of synergy between man and machine, transforming physically through movement.
Drama
Using various materials and props, pupils will create their own futuristic cars. In what sort of world would they be living? How will it differ to our own?
'Creative Challenges'
A selection of activities deigned to develop listening, appraising, composing and performing skills through more creative approaches.
Dance
A series of open-ended activities, designed to stimulate and challenge through using and developing skills linked to creativity, choreography and performance.
Drama
Making innovative use of props, costumes and sound effects pupils will devise a story/performance, while developing confidence, creativity, communication skills and teamwork.

Diane Carson
Diane has spent her career within teaching and youth work, utilising drama strategies to develop confidence, communication /presentation skills, teamwork, creativity and classroom attainment, while engaging and motivating students and staff of all ages. She has experience of teaching pupils in Key Stages 1-5, PRUs and special needs schools. She maintains an enthusiastic, energetic and flexible approach and believes that a sense of fun and enjoyment is essential to motivate all pupils and promote development and learning across the curriculum.

Elaine Sutton
Elaine is the creative mind behind Bubbles. She has a background in primary teaching, worked as an AST for music, and then as a local authority arts advisor. Elaine inspires and engages children and adults alike and has a passion for teaching music creatively. She is the author of the Bubbles Music series and also directs Dimensions Curriculum Ltd.
